Land acknowledgement

I am a Punjabi Sikh settler currently working, living, and parenting on the the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, the Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), the Wendake-Nionwentsïo, and the Mississauga peoples. I acknowledge that I am a visitor to this land, having been born here after my parents settled on Turtle Island after leaving their ancestral home on the Indo-Gangetic Plains (Punjab, India). I am grateful for spending my life living and learning across Turtle Island, and I am committed to decolonial Indigenized continuing education and practice through engagement with the TRC Calls to Action.
